Manchester United’ own Darren Fletcher, revealed what it was like to play with two of the best forwards in the club’s history: Rooney and Ronaldo. The generation that won the last Champions League at Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson was truly brilliant, it was filled with talented players like Wayne Rooney or Cristiano Ronaldo and people like Darren Fletcher had the honor of playing alongside both players. The former Scottish player was able to give a better insight into his career with the Red Devils, he talked about many topics but he was especially excited to mention both of the best players in the modern era who also happened to play alongside him at Manchester United. When Fletcher spoke about Cristiano Ronaldo, the Scotsman revealed that there was a sensation he would become the best player in the world from the very start of his career as the Portuguese forward was a very dedicated athlete.Fletcher first confessed that a lot of people doubted Cristiano Ronaldo’s resolve and determination, but somehow he felt that the star would get to where he wanted sooner rather than later.Out of all the players he shared a locker room with, Darren feels like Ronaldo was the biggest example of how to be a professional and he always followed that example as a player. The brilliant nickname that Cristiano Ronaldo gave Wayne Rooney at Manchester United… https://t.co/vGRHinpEPq pic.twitter.com/EC1QGVpY28— SPORTbible (@sportbible) November 6, 2018It was quite evident that Cristiano was a winner from the very first day he arrived in Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon, Fletcher was there almost from the very start and he recalled the first years of Ronaldo’s career on Monday Night Football for Sky Sports.“He had a mindset that he was going to be the best player in the world from the day when he came into the club,” said Fletcher during the interview.“He took training to another level. At first, people loved the desire but he did get stick for it with people saying: ‘It’s easier said than done.’ But people respected it and liked that mentality of wanting to be the best.”“There were times when he was putting ankle weights on for training and doing fast feet. The lads were laughing at him but he didn’t care and it didn’t deter him.”“Ultimately people respected it. The lads saw it as a bit of banter but deep down they respect that work rate, that desire, and that sheer determination to be the best player in the world, and he went on to achieve it,” added Darren Fletcher on the Sky Sports program.Ronaldo on Wayne RooneyLukaku backed to beat Ronaldo in Serie A scoring charts Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Former Inter Milan star Andy van der Meyde is confident Romelu Lukaku will outscore Cristiano Ronaldo in this season’s Serie A.“I miss him. There were a lot of experienced winners in the dressing room and me and Wayne were close in age with similar backgrounds and we just got on and clicked.”“You could tell Wayne was going to go on and be a Manchester United great. The only worry was would a Real Madrid or someone like that come in for him, because that was quite possible.”“But there was no doubt that he was going to go on and win everything, go on and be club captain and end up England and Manchester United’s leading goal scorer – what an achievement.”“I don’t think he gets the appreciation he deserves. Still, people don’t realize how good Wayne Rooney was, and always was, at Manchester United. And again, he was a team player. He sacrificed himself at times for the good of the team,” he concluded. With 80 caps for @ScotlandNT and over 200 appearances for @ManUtd, Darren Fletcher has played alongside and against some of the best around! 💫🗣 Got a question for him?Tweet it to us using #MNF and it could feature on the show! pic.twitter.com/H3kbNmZNhF— Sky Sports MNF (@SkySportsMNF) November 5, 2018What do you think about Darren Fletcher’s take on Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney during his days at Manchester United? Apple to fix FaceTime bug that allows eavesdropping (AP) – Apple has made the group chat function in FaceTime unavailable after users said there was a bug that could allow callers to activate another user’s microphone remotely. The bug was demonstrated through videos online and reported on this week by tech blogs. Reports say the bug in the video chat app could allow an iPhone user calling another iPhone through Group Facetime to hear the audio from the other handset – even if the receiver did not accept the call.“We’re aware of this issue and we have identified a fix that will be released in a software update later this week,” Apple said in a statement Tuesday. Its online support page noted there was a technical issue with the application and that Group Facetime “is temporarily unavailable.”The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, released a statement warning people about the bug and urging people to disable the app until Apple fixes the issue.Apple is due to report its latest quarterly earnings later Tuesday amid intense investor interest in the company’s financial health. Earlier this month, Apple said that demand for iPhones was waning and that its earnings for the final quarter of 2018 would be below expectations – a rare downgrade from the company. The structure group in the Cooper Landing area continues to prep structures on the south end; and reduce fuel loading around structures by using chippers and a masticator. Firefighters are installing hose lays and sprinklers along the Fuller Lake trail to cool down heat. Firefighters cut out blown down trees and built fire line in the Surprise Creek area along the southern edge. Helicopter bucket work was accomplished northeast of Hidden Lake campground and south of the Trout Lake area. A return to normal temperatures over the next few days and relative humidity may increase fire activity, according to the Incident Command Team. It’s that time of year again where Porsche fanatics from all over the world gather in Southern California to celebrate Dr. Porsche’s magnificent machines. Luftgekuhlt is mostly a big party for 911 and 356 lovers, but all kinds of race cars show up, too.My favorite Porsche racing car is one that often gets forgotten when people start tossing around numbers like 917 and 935. It’s the 962 race cars of the 1980s and 1990s. These long, wide and low machines remained dominant in sports car racing much longer than just about anything else, and Porsche would have a lot fewer Le Mans wins without it.The 962 had kind of a weird childhood. It was designed at the last minute as a response to a rule change by the American racing organization IMSA. Explicitly, this change stated that a driver’s feet had to be located behind the car’s front axles and that made Porsche’s current world-beating sports prototype, the 956, ineligible. Car Culture 2020 BMW M340i review: A dash of M makes everything better Porsche The 956 was introduced in 1982 as a replacement for Porsche’s 936 open-top race car. It was a savagely fast automobile, setting a lap record for the Nurburgring Nordschleife that stood from 1984 until 2018. It was also the first car to use Porsche’s PDK gearbox. The overall package of the 956 was incredibly successful, winning Le Mans outright four years in a row. That shows why Porsche, when updating the chassis to the 962 didn’t change an awful lot and why the two cars are pretty tough to tell apart when sitting next to one another. The Porsche 962 ran in several engine configurations during its long career, but it was always powered by a turbocharged flat-six engine and produced upward of 700 horsepower in some trims. The 962 models that ran in IMSA have a special place in my heart, as they are purely air-cooled and feature a massive scoop on the rear deck. Other versions, including the Le Mans-winning 962C, either featured water-cooled cylinder heads or were water-cooled entirely. So, if you’re unable to make it to Universal Studios’ backlot for Luftgekuhlt 6 today, kick back and enjoy some videos of one of the most dominant racecars the world has ever seen. (Photos courtesy of dcyds.org (Todd) and Facebook (May).)The April 28 special election to fill the D.C. Council member positions in Wards 4 and 8 has a number of candidates but the District mayor is out working for this candidates she supports. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) has endorsed former council staffer Brandon Todd and former Ward 8 2014 campaign coordinator LaRuby May for the Ward 4 and 8 positions respectively. Bowser vacated the Ward 4 D.C. Council seat in December to assume her mayoral duties and the death of D.C. Council member Marion S. Barry in November opened up his seat.Bowser said that she wants Todd and May to win because they want the District and its residents to prosper. “We share a vision to move the city forward,” the mayor said. “All three of us are committed to closing gaps in housing and education, and supporting economic development. I would also like to note that a number of the present council members share the same agenda.”Terry Goings, a political activist in Ward 4, backs Todd. “He is the best candidate for the job,” Goings said. “He has been working for Muriel for a number of years, he knows the ward and he is an intelligent guy. I think it is important to have a councilman that has the ear of the mayor.”Joan Thomas, a longtime Ward 4 political activist, said Todd has her support because “he can do the job.” Lori Murphy Lee, an attorney in the District, said Todd is a “determined and dedicated individual.”“I know he will be a great representative,” Lee said.Todd held a fundraiser on Jan. 29 in a heated backyard tent at the Ward 4 home of former D.C. Council member Bill Lightfoot and his wife, Cynthia. Bowser was the featured speaker at the Todd fundraiser and emphasized that Todd is a candidate with “high integrity and high ethical standards.”“He has a history of getting things done in Ward 4 and he is going to work hard at city hall,” Bowser said.Political activists and candidates throughout the city attended the fundraiser, including May and, in a surprise appearance, one of her opponents, Christopher Barry. Barry came to the event wearing a Todd button and shook hands with the crowd.“I am here to support Brandon,” Barry said.Barry did not make an appearance at a fundraiser for May on Jan. 31 at the Uniontown Bar and Grill in Ward 8. Bowser headlined the event and praised May highly. “We want someone to represent Ward 8 who is smart, honest, and who is running for the council for the right reasons,” the mayor said. “She will be the best prepared council member from Day One.”May said she wants to help “Ward 8 rise because it is the right thing to do.”Todd faces 13 opponents and May will vie against 15 others. Todd has been endorsed by D.C. Council member Yvette Alexander (D-Ward 7) and May has gained the support of D.C. Council member Brianne Nadeau (D-Ward 1).Some political observers believe that if Todd and May are elected, they will be sycophants for Bowser on the council. In the case of Todd, Lee disagrees. “Brandon Todd is an independent thinker,” she said. “He will work with the mayor to do what is in the best interest of the ward.”Wain Jenkins attended the May’s event and said that his candidate will be no puppet for the mayor. “I know that some of her opponents are going to try to portray her that way but she is an intelligent, thoughtful person,” Jenkins said.May has a sharp response to those who think she will be a lackey for the mayor. “I am my own person,” she said. “My name is LaRuby May.”

Ever since hard drives were invented, scientists have been hard at work trying to figure out ways to make them smaller while at the same time developing ways to make them more dense so that they can hold more information. As the team at IBM notes, currently, it takes approximately 100,000 atoms to hold a single bit of information. If a technique could be found to commercialize their single-atom approach, they further note, it would allow for holding something as massive as Apple’s iTunes library of songs on something as small as a credit card.To create their tiny magnet, the team used a scanning tunneling microscope to manipulate holmium atoms placed on a magnesium oxide plate (to keep the magnetic poles stable). Applying an electric current to the microscope’s probe allowed for changing the magnetic orientation of the atom between two states, which, the team notes, could be used to represent on/off states for a single bit of data. To read the state, the team measured the magnetic current passing through the atom. The team notes also that the state of several atoms could be read or written when the atoms were as close as a single nanometer apart.IBM has been investing heavily in scanning tunneling microscope research for decades, a technology they have been credited with inventing (Gerd Binnig and Heinrich Rohrer won the Nobel Prize in physics for this accomplishment back in 1986). Recently, they also announced that they had developed a new technique that offered a better way to measure the magnetic field of individual atoms and in a somewhat related development, also announced that they would be offering the world’s first commercial “universal” quantum-computing service. The Utkarsh Bangla scheme, which was launched by the Bengal government, has also been providing vocational training among unemployed youths. The beneficiaries of the scheme are being imparted knowledge on skill development. There are various government departments that are rendering assistance on skill development, thereby helping village youths secure employment. After successfully completing the training, the youths can step into the IT sector, work in various service centres, or even start a new venture, Basu said. He also added that the state government will extend all possible assistance to the youths so that they can start small units after going through the training. Setting up new units will generate employment for others as well. “We will train as many as 6 lakh youths within this financial year, some of whom have already completed the training course,” he said. Basu had earlier stressed on the importance of training among local youths in various sectors like soil testing labs, soil diagnosis, seed production, production of bio fertilisers, etc. If the unemployed youths are trained in these sectors, they will be able to contribute towards the growth of agri-economy in the state.
