Scheer to campaign in Saskatoon this weekend

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau was in the city for a town hall meeting last Thursday amid his blackface scandal.Scheer’s decision to concentrate on Saskatoon West makes sense strategically, since it is the only Saskatoon riding not held by the Conservatives, and one of only a few in the province that are in play.Kevin Waugh and Corey Tochor, the Conservative candidates for Saskatoon–Grasswood and Saskatoon–University, as well as Kelly Block, who is seeking re-election in Carlton Trail–Eagle Creek, are also expected to attend.Story continues belowThis advertisement has not loaded yet,but your article continues below.Redekopp hopes a growing desire for change in Ottawa will carry him to victory, while Benson is banking on her constituency work over the last four years generating enough support for a second term.Scheer, who represents the Regina–Qu’Appelle riding, was last in Saskatoon in July.
