The team does not want “to be caught unaware if an opportunity arises,” the report says. Meanwhile, Kimbrel recorded 42 saves and a 2.74 ERA in 63 appearances for the Red Sox last season.The seven-time All-Star has also been linked to Milwaukee and the Braves. Keuchel registered a 12-11 record and a 3.74 ERA in 34 starts with the Astros last season.
